Okay, I admit, this apparently has NOTHING to do with MLM Success, but I can assure you that it does. I just wrote to my Senator's and Congressman regarding my feelings about how our elected officials are doing. I took a letter written by a Glenn Beck listener and modified it. I then sent it to my representatives. I would suggest you write your representatives as well. For if you don't, you may wake up one morning with less freedom and thus less of an opportunity to be successful. The amount of freedom you have is in proportion to your freedoms. Don't give them up. Now is the time to fight for our freedoms before our elected officials pick them off one by one. Don't let them continue to introduce and support policies that will kill our chances for ultimate success and even worse, our children and grandchildren's.

Here is the Letter:

I am totally discussed with what is happening is Washington! The madness has got to stop! The congress was elected by the people FOR the people. It is obvious that our representative are now for THEIR power and bank account leaving the PEOPLE who put them there to suffer more than anytime in my lifetime. I never thought I would see elected officials sell out like they have these day. Stop it! This is what I expect to see:

I. Illegal immigration. I want you to stop coddling illegal immigrants and secure our borders. Close the underground tunnels. Stop the violence and the trafficking in drugs and people. No amnesty, not again. Been there, done that, no resolution. P.S., I'm not a racist. This isn't to be confused with legal immigration.

II. TARP. I want it repealed and I want no further funding supplied to it. We told you no, but you did it anyway. I want the remaining unfunded 95% repealed. Freeze, repeal.   

III. Czars. I want the circumvention of our checks and balances stopped immediately. Fire the czars. No more czars. Government officials answer to the process, not to the president. Stop trampling on our Constitution and honor it.  

IV. Cap and trade. The debate on global warming is not over. There is more to say.   

V. Universal healthcare. I will not be rushed into another expensive decision. Don't you dare try to pass this in the middle of the night and then go on break. Slow down!   

VI. Growing government control. I want states rights and sovereignty fully restored. I want less government in my life, not more. Shrink it down. Mind your own business. You have enough to take care of with your real obligations. Why don't you start there.   

VII. ACORN. I do not want ACORN and its affiliates in charge of our 2010 census. I want them investigated. I also do not want mandatory escrow fees contributed to them every time on every real estate deal that closes. Stop the funding to ACORN and its affiliates pending impartial audits and investigations. I do not trust them with taking the census over with our taxpayer money. I don't trust them with our taxpayer money. Face up to the allegations against them and get it resolved before taxpayers get any more involved with them. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, hello. Stop protecting your political buddies. You work for us, the people. Investigate.

VIII. Redistribution of wealth. No, no, no. I work for my money. It is mine. I have always worked for people with more money than I have because they gave me jobs. That is the only redistribution of wealth that I will support. I never got a job from a poor person. Why do you want me to hate my employers? What do you have against shareholders making a profit?  

IX. Charitable contributions. Although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped many in need. Charity belongs in our local communities, where we know our needs best and can use our local talent and our local resources. Butt out, please. We want to do it ourselves.   

X. Corporate bailouts. Knock it off. Sink or swim like the rest of us. If there are hard times ahead, we'll be better off just getting into it and letting the strong survive. Quick and painful. Have you ever ripped off a Band-Aid? We will pull together. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Give us the chance to innovate. We cannot disappoint you more than you have disappointed us.   

XI. Transparency and accountability. How about it? No, really, how about it? Let's have it. Let's say we give the buzzwords a rest and have some straight honest talk. Please try - please stop manipulating and trying to appease me with clever wording. I am not the idiot you obviously take me for. Stop sneaking around and meeting in back rooms making deals with your friends. It will only be a prelude to your criminal investigation. Stop hiding things from me.   

XII. Unprecedented spending. Stop it now. Take a breath. Listen to the people.

XIII. Israel. Do not forsake Israel. It is very clear in the Bible and history that whoever abandons Israel, God will abandon. Whoever curses Israel, God will curse. This is not some religious belief, this is a fact! If President Obama and Secty. of State Clinton continue to pressure Israel to give up land for peace, God will, in some fashion, take our land away. We have been blessed by God, in part, because of our stand with Israel. Don't let our government change that stance. It will cost us dearly and most likely, quickly!

Please let your fellow representatives on the other side of the isle know how WE the People feel. I do not stand alone on this. If something doesn't change, we will change it in 2010 if you people haven't totally destroyed this great country with your outlandish policies.

Think it. Speak it. Manifest it.

Your thinking is most important. It is the birthplace of all manifestation. When a thought is emotionalized that becomes a belief. When you speak forth your beliefs often enough over time, those beliefs will manifest.

Our mind, emotion, and speech all work together to bring about the creation of our lives. What is manifested in our life right now is a result of your emotionalized thought and speech. When I say speech, I mean your verbalized talk. Self-talk is powerful, but verbalized speech is most powerful.

If you want to change the outcome of your life you must start with your thinking. Think of things you want to manifest in your life and supercharge them with the power of your emotions—then speak them forth. Over time you will discover your life is different and in line with what you want to manifest.

This is not magic; it is the way we were designed by our Creator. God made us in His image after His likeness and He gave us the power to create. We cannot create something out of nothing as He can, but we can create pretty much anything we want in our life based on what He already created. Thomas Edison “created” a light bulb based on God’s creation of light. The Wright brother’s created an airplane based on God’s creation of flight (birds).

What do you want? Think it. Speak it. Manifest it. It’s all within your God-given power. Don’t settle for the way things are. Don’t take the back seat waiting for life to happen to you. Get behind the wheel and make your life happen! Hey, and have fun doing it!

Discouragement - Your Key to Success

Discouragement. We all experience it. We all have to face it at on time or another. However, I am here to tell you that it is not all bad. Actually discouragement is GOOD!

I have learned over the years that in this universe there is a law that few know little about. It’s called the Law of Duality. This law basically says that there are always two sides: Front and back, left and right, hot and cold, good and evil, happiness and sadness, up and down, light and darkness, and so forth. Well, discouragement is no different.

Discouragement often leads to depression, however, it can also do something else. Discouragement(s) can open doors! Discouragement can make you OPEN and COACHABLE. When things are going well and you are flying high you often do not learn. You “think” you know it all and hold all the secrets to success. You “think” that you are unstoppable and often criticize and condemn others for the lack of success in the area(s) that you are so “good” at.

Then it happens! You hit the wall. You come to a place where NOTHING seems to work. When this happens there can be two different results. Either you give up or you start SEEKING. Believe it or not, MOST people give up! It’s easier to give up than to OPEN up. To open up you must begin to ask, seek, and knock on every door until you find the answers that you are seeking.

The “bright side” of discouragements is that they make you coachable. I know when I am discouraged I go to God and seek His wisdom. I often talk to my wife or companions and seek their advice. I have more of a tendency to read, study, and find the answers to my dilemma. I become humble. Humility is a huge factor for your success. The Bible tells us that when we are humbled we will be exalted in “due time.” It also says when we are proud we will be MADE humble.

When you “hit the wall,” ask yourself, “Am I proud?” “Have I lost my ability to learn?” “Am I couchable?” Chances are your discouragement will prove to be your biggest ASSET. It will bring you back to the reason most succeed: Being COACHABLE and willing to LEARN.

So if you are discouraged at times, it is GOOD. For through your discouragement you will ask, seek, knock, and eventually be lead to a bigger and brighter future. Or of course, you can do what most do: GIVE UP. The choice is ALWAYS yours!

The Elevator or the Shaft?

There are so many “free” offers out there. Offers for “free” eBooks, audios, and such are being promoted every single day. Here is the problem: Are you getting the Elevator or the Shaft?

Let’s start with the SHAFT. You know you are getting the shaft when you are offered something for free and you end up only getting only part of the promised help. They put a price tag on the “rest of the story.” The information you get for free entices you enough to download the information so you will have to cough up the big bucks later. It is a tactic to get your information and then get you to buy something to line “their” products.

So many people are out their seeking genuine help. They are looking for someone who will genuinely offer some training to help them build THEIR business. Most of these folks has spend all their money because they got the shaft, not just once, in most cases but several times.

Rarely will you get the ELEVATOR; something that will help you get to the top without motive or agenda. Do you know how RARE that is? I personally looked for years and in the process got beat up and bruised. I burned through thousands of dollars and was about to reach the end of my rope. It was at that time I found Mentoring for Free. This program offered me more FREE training than I could handle. To this day I can’t believe that the folks at Mentoring for Free offer such training for FREE! After years of getting the shaft, I finally got an elevator.

What's Your Number

You know you are that you are not making as much money as you could in an opportunity when:

· When the company uses celebrity endorsements

· When the company is publically held

· When the company boasts of fancy headquartersWhen the company owns corporate jets

· When the company supports a huge call center

· When the company has a huge employee payroll

All the above items cost money. Guess who pays for all of this stuff? The distributor or affiliate! No, you say, the company does! No, I say, you do! Whatever the company spends money on, that money is coming out of the pay plan, it’s that simple.

Celebrities do not do endorsements for free. It costs money, big money, and that money eventually affects the pay plan. Publically held companies have stockholders to pay and guess where that money comes from? You guessed it, the pay plan. Everything else in the list above is pretty self-explanatory.

The best company to join is a company that has a streamline business model. A company that uses technology to keep costs down and affiliate pay plans high. One way to determine if your company, or a company you are considering is streamline, ask the $10,000 question: “How many people will I have to have in my organization to make $10,000 a month?” That is a very fair question to ask and it is surprising how many do not know that answer. I bet if you asked your sponsor, they would not know.

When I asked my sponsor how many people I would need in my down line, she answered me immediately. She told me about 350 people. That blew me away. Most plans that I looked at were in the 2,500 range! Later I found out that her sponsor did it with only 253 people! That was a mind blower! Getting 350 people in an organization is a lot easier than 1,000, 2,000, 3,000 or more.

I am boasting so you will join my company. I am educating you to ask the question. You need to know your number. It is important to have a target to aim at or an idea what it is going to take to gain what you desire in network marketing. You may not need $10,000 a month, but just think how much easier it would be to make an extra $1,000 or $2,000 a month by being involved with a streamline company.

I have been in network marketing for years and see people working their tail off and having little or nothing to show for it. Find, what I call, a 5-pillar company, and you will have a better chance of fulfilling your dreams. Now is the Time to Build

We are in and heading for unprecedented economic times. Now is not the time to bury our heads in the sand and wish it all away. Your job, my job, and all jobs are on the ropes. What the job market will be a few months or a year from now does not look promising. Our governments cannot be trusted for they have proven themselves incapable of doing what is necessary to gain control of the economic situation. They are the cause! Our employers have to look out for themselves and their bottom line to stay in business. The only person who is capable of creating a secure future for you and your loved ones is YOU.

Traditional jobs are going to be VERY competitive to obtain. I saw a real estate agent, who was very successful in years past, now working in Starbucks. I have nothing against Starbucks, but a JOB is still a JOB. Even the medical profession is not safe. In my city, hospitals are laying off staff. This is not because people are not getting sick, it’s because people are dropping insurance because they can’t afford the premiums. (If you are in nutrition, blessed are you because people will do more to stay healthy because of medical costs.)

What does look promising is starting your own business. Wise people are looking hard at network marketing as an alternative plan to their current job. It is no longer being considered as a Plan B, it may be the ONLY plan. With network marketing you can start a new business for about $200.00 and have little overhead and no employees to deal with. Now is the time to get serious about building your network marketing business (I can’t say this enough).

Network marketing has always been recession proof, the question is: Is it depression proof? I believe that it is. My advice is that you do not delay in building your business. Don’t put it off another day. Do whatever you have to do, learn the skills necessary to build your business. Turn off the TV, stop playing the video games and spend the time to build your business NOW! I believe time is running out and you and I need to be ready for the people who will be seeking new opportunities.

Making Money in Network Marketing

There are basically two ways to make money in network marketing. One way is to recruit new people into your business. Out of 20 people who you talk to, one may be interested in a business venture.

The other way is to develop a retail customer base. The challenge here is that most products promoted through network marketing are too expensive. Why would someone pay twice as much for something that they could get in a local health food store for much less. If the price of your products is high, that leaves you with only one alternative to make money: RECRUIT. Let’s face it; the average person just won’t recruit. If they won’t recruit, how can they make money?

Recruiting is fine if you have a duplicatable system to plug people into, but most companies do not have such a system even though they say they do. They leave that up to the affiliate and 99% don’t have a clue how to build a substantial network marketing business.

Now back to the retail scenario. I have a close friend whose wife is in a very well known network marketing company. He takes a 30-day supply of their vitamins. Guess how much he pays (wholesale)? He spends $120.00 per month! Let me ask you a question. How many people do you know who can afford to shell out that kind of cash for vitamins? This is the problem with most network marketing companies. They make it impossible to retail! Why are the prices so high? It is NOT because they are special products from a secret formula. They are manufactured much like any other good vitamin. The reason they are so high is mainly because of the overhead. These companies spend millions of dollars per month for a fully functional call center and lots of employees to handle the calls. Others spend a boatload of money on celebrity endorsements, advertising campaigns, and company jets! This is money that is taken out of the compensation plan and this is money that has to be added to the “cost of doing business.” This drives up product costs.

There is a better way. I know of a company that makes it VERY possible to build a huge retail business. Those vitamin packs I told you about earlier, they RETAIL for less than $40.00 for a full months supply! Now do you think you could recommend a quality product with that price point? The same type of Vitamin costs just under $60.00 at a national chain health food store! All the products with this company are priced at a very reasonable range. Now you can argue with me about quality and I will take the challenge. Call me anytime. If a product doesn’t work, how long do you think a person could sell it? These products have been around for nearly 6 years and people LOVE them! Shoot, I LOVE them! This company has a very nice retail site and gives affiliates 20% of all retail sales that go through their site!

Now you have a company that promotes products that can be retailed and an affiliate can start receiving checks in the mail right away. People who receive money will more likely stay in your organization and will work harder to do two things: recruit affiliates and promote products. For every affiliate recruited, a nice bonus is paid. For all sales in your organization, a nice retail bonus is paid. This is the BEST OF BOTH WORLDS.

Oh, by the way, you don’t have to be a sales person to promote products. You do it almost everyday. Think of it as recommending products that you love. If you like a restaurant, don’t you recommend it? How about movies, do you recommend any? When you do, did you ever get paid for doing so? Why not get paid for recommending products that promote excellent health and products that you will never have to be ashamed of.

Oh, here is the kicker. This company has a duplicatable system that works every single time, if you use it. If you are coachable, you can achieve outstanding success with this outfit. The teamwork is amazing. This makes it possible for someone who could never recruit before to start recruiting successfully.

Are You a Motivated Idiot?

I know that sounds offensive, but it might be true. I know, because I WAS one! Let me explain what I mean by being a motivated idiot…

Someone came to you (and me) one day and presented you with an opportunity to make money from home. After hearing the presentation you got excited! The thought of making BIG money while in your PJ’s sounded pretty cool. Staying home with the kids and going on long vacations sounded even better. Paying off all debt and living a dream life of financial freedom sounded out of this world! So what did you do? You plunked down the money and joined the business opportunity.

Now this is where the idiot part comes in. You are motivated and want to make the BIG BUCKS, but don’t have a clue what to do. Your sponsor tells you to make a “vision board” and to think positive thoughts. He or she tells you to make a list and talk to as many people are you can about your business. So you make your vision board, say your affirmations, build your list, talk about your business to family and friends and guess what? Nothing (or very little) happens and before you know if you are unmotivated and out of business! Your dreams are dead and your hopes are dashed. The problem is you do it all over again the next time an “opportunity” is presented and so the cycle continues until one day you just plain give up, quit, call it a day, throw in the towel, etc. Why? Because you are what I call a MOTIVATED IDIOT (please don’t be offended because there is hope for you...honest)!

Own Your Own Business

I would strongly encourage anyone to take the opportunity, in these economic times, to strike out on his or her own. Start your OWN business.

The great thing is that you can start a great business for as little as $200. The bad thing is that there are too many choices out there and most of them are not really good opportunities. If you want to start a home-based business, do your homework. Get educated. If you have a home-based business that is going nowhere fast, get educated! Find the help you need and learn from those who ARE successful. If one person can be successful doing a thing, anyone can provided the system they are using is duplicatable.

There are too many scams out there and more are being born everyday. I hate seeing people spend countless thousands of dollars making someone else rich and become discouraged and even quiting in the process. That makes me both sick and mad!

Your Very Own Stimulus Package

You already have a stimulus package. It’s between your ears and it’s called your mind. A stimulated mind is the most powerful thing that we possess. Every single man, woman, and child possesses all they need to become a massive success.

Unfortunately our political leaders rather do everything they can to stop you from using your powerful mind. Instead of stimulating us, the governments of the world, with the help of the news media, are doing everything possible to make you and me dependent on them instead of using our own “stimulus package” to create all the wealth and prosperity that we need.

My friend, you have all you need. God did not short-change you. At least that is what “they” want you to believe.

Don’t fall for stimulus package of the U.S. or any other world government. You must take charge of your own life and bear responsibility for your own stimulus. I get all the stimulus that I need from the Bible and other great books. I fill my mind with what is possible, not what can’t be done. The Bible says, “All things are possible to the one who believes.” Henry Ford said, “Whether you believe you can or can’t, you are right.”

Are you struggling? Good! At least you are doing something. Struggling, to the right person, causes seeking and seeking results in finding! As I have said many times, the secret is not to give up. Stimulate your mind and keep it stimulated. You will not stimulate your mind watching news reports, reading news papers, watching or listening to anything that will cause worry, doubt, or fear.

Fill you mind with what is possible. Read and listen to good material. You can find great teaching programs from Nightingale Conant or other similar educational outlets. There is plenty on the Internet and bookstores like Barnes and Noble to stimulate your marvelous mind. Don’t wait for others to make your life work for you. Your can and must take charge to design the life you desire.

The Tale of Two Economies

There are two ways to experience the life that God has so graciously given to us: Toil and hoard according to the World’s economy or trust and give according to God’s economy.

The curse that God put on man after the fall due to Adam’s disobedience was that man would have to toil and sweat for everything he obtained. The earth was cursed and would not yield a harvest without man’s effort in labor. As a result, mankind has toiled, labored and tried to hoard whatever they could out of fear of doing without.

Mankind has trusted credit to relieve the pain of toil through instant gratification. The result is that the vast majority of American’s and others in the world have become slaves of credit. We are enticed to buy more and made to believe that we will be able to get out of the debt cycle, but it never happens. We cannot get out of debt as long as we keep putting things on credit. Credit cards have become the god of the typical family on earth today. We have been enticed to trust Visa and Master Card instead of God who is the source of all wealth.

I am happy to report that there is another economy. We do not have to stay in the earth cursed world economy. We can enter into God’s economy. To enjoy God’s economy one must first stop trusting in credit, bankers, jobs or any other source of supply. God alone is the source of all wealth. It is He who gives power to get wealth. When we put God first, that gives Him the permission to instruct us on how to obtain the wealth we seek. He will not send money from Heaven, but He will give you connections to the right people and circumstances to obtain wealth.

Also, you must learn to let go of what you have. Don’t hang on to your last dollar bill as though it can get you out of debt. Give what you have as a seed to obtain the harvest you seek. If you give $100, don’t expect to get $1,000 in the mail. However, you can expect an idea or hunch that could produce thousands or even millions of dollars. When you give to a worthy cause, such as feeding the poor, promoting the gospel, or helping someone in need you are engaging a spiritual law that says, “Give and it shall be given unto you.” This law is a sure as gravity. However, when you give, commit that which you give to God for His blessing. The giving or your seed gives Him a way to multiply it.

There is so much to say about this matter, however, the purpose of this blog is to offer help to network marketers, not give Bible lessons. I would love to let go, but maybe I will do so in another way. As network marketers, we must learn to trust in the living God and commit our businesses and all we have to Him. When we do so, we give Him permission to bless us. He will not force His way into our life. If you want to do it the toil and hoard way, He will not stop us. But, if we want to do it His way, He will certainly bless us.

There are two economies: The world’s cursed economy and God’s economy. Which one will you put your trust in? As for me and my house, we will put our faith in God’s economy. I hope you will too.

Seek and Think!

I know you probably don’t want to hear it, but we are in for some very tough times. People are getting laid off and retirement funds are disappearing into thin air. The Federal Reserve is printing money like there is not tomorrow, and our government is taking over the banking system and private enterprises. In light of this here are a couple of options each one of us has:

1. Complain, murmur, take more drugs and drink more alcohol

2. Seek and think your way through this disaster

Seek and think you ask? It sounds too simple, but yes, now is the time to seek. Now is the time for the millionaire within you to truly come forth. 95% or more of the world population have been marching, unaware, toward the mountain of debt we are now facing. This mountain is huge and unmovable and most will just give up and look to the world governments to bail them out at the foot of this gigantic mountain.

Most will just pitch a tent at the foot of this mountain and sing the blues. Little do they know that on the other side of the mountain is a city of gold! On the other side of defeat is victory! On the other side of failure is success! In order to get to the other side you just have to THINK. You just have to seek a way or ways to go through or over or around the mountain.

My wife and I travel to West Virginia regularly to visit family. We have to go through Wheeling. There are two ways to get through Wheeling: Go through a mountain on I-70 or go up and around the mountain on I-470. There was a time when neither route existed. However somebody with a seeking heart and a thinking mind came up with a way to get to the other side opening an easy way to the east.

Right now, you can begin to seek for a way to get through these hard economic times. Right now you can put on your thinking cap and use your God-given mind to think of a way to make it through, successful, this seemingly impossible time.

Do not look to the government. In my opinion our politicians are abject failures. They are creating a socialist welfare state at the expense of achievers. You must take matters into your own hands with the help of the Almighty God. God and man, when paired together, make an unbeatable team. He will give you the wisdom and knowledge that you will need to get through this man-made disaster we are finding ourselves in.

The Bible says, “Keep on asking, keep on seeking, and keep on knocking.” It goes on to say that those who keep on asking will receive and those who keep on seeking will find and those who keep on knocking, the door will be opened to them. I don’t know about you, but I would rather trust the Bible than CNN and MSNBC. All the media does is spew negative defeatism throughout the earth. This just puts people in the state of fear, and according to the Bible, fear has torment!

My advice, don’t look at the mountain as something that cannot be overcome, rather look at it as something to be defeated! To defeat it, seek the One who knows how to defeat it. That’s just my advice!

Get Rich Quick - Forget It!

The Internet is filled with promises of getting rich quick. Actually MOST offers are in this category. They take your money and promise that you will make hundred or thousands of dollars a week with little or no effort. They tell you that money just flows into your bank account while you are sleeping or playing. They claim that “their system” is automatic and gives the illusion of ease. DO NOT BE FOOLED!

The richest and wisest man that ever lived, Solomon, said, “He that tills the land shall be satisfied with bread, but he that follows vain persons is void of understanding” Proverbs 28:19. There is no way you will ever succeed and become wealthy unless you are ready to “till the land.” Success requires diligence and understanding. That’s why millions of people fall for these get-rich-quick schemes. Quite honestly, they make me sick! People with little money literally flush that cash down the toilet of these “get-it-now” schemes.

Do you really want to have financial freedom? Are you willing to pay the price to get it? If not, keep your day job. However, if you want to obtain great wealth, you can. However you have to put forth some effort to till the land. You will have to make the calls, promote your business by word or mouth, and even spend some money (wisely of course) for advertising or promotion. You will have to be willing to be mentored when and seek instruction when needed. You cannot succeed by yourself. Every once of success you achieve will ALWAYS be through and with others help.

So, save your money. Your computer will not make money for you IF you don’t first till the ground. We are living in a time where people are getting nervous about their future financial situation. Many are relying on jobs that will disappear as the economy worsens. There is still hope for you to make money online promoting legitimate products and services. Provision Brings Vision to Fruition

The Bible says, “Without a vision, the people perish.” Without a vision we are just like a paper blown in the wind. Without a vision we don’t know where we are going and thus will never live a productive fruitful life.

A person of vision has an aim and knows where he wants to go. He may not be sure of the best way, but he has a general idea. On his journey will have to make several course corrections, but eventually he will get to his destiny just because he as a vision.

However, it is impossible to reach your vision without provision. You need a means to reach your goal or destiny. Provision is the act of supplying. No matter what your journey you need supply. To drive to Atlanta from Columbus, Ohio, you will need, at least, a car and gasoline. You will also need some money for food and drink. That is what we mean by provision.

To build a successful business, you will need provision as well. It is amazing how many people think they can start a business with no money. They have a mentality that you can be a millionaire without provision. I always tell people, if you need money, you need to find the provision.

Let me ask you a question? Where does you provision come from? The Bible says that it is God who “gives you power to get wealth.” It does not say that God gives wealth, but rather He gives you power or ability to get wealth.

When it came time to pay the temple tax, Jesus didn’t hand Peter the money on a silver platter. Rather he told him to go fishing and the first fish that came up would have a coin in its mouth to pay the temple tax for Him and Peter. You see, God doesn’t have money, but He knows where to find it. Also, Jesus didn’t tell Peter to go hunting for the provision, for Peter was not a hunter. Rather He told him to go fishing because Peter was an expert fisherman. The lesson to learn from this is that there is provision to fulfill your vision; you just need to come to God so He can show you where to find the provision to reach your vision. He will most likely instruct you to use something you already have in your possession to get the provision you need. He also, if you ask Him, may send someone to you with the provision you need or you will come in contact with such a person.

If you are in lack, you must come to the Source of all wisdom and knowledge to find provision that will bring your vision to fruition. That source is God. It is not the Universe, Infinite Intelligence or your Inner Self; rather it is God Himself. God is a person, for we were made in His image and likeness. Come to Him is you are in lack and seek Him for the means of the provision you need to fulfill your vision. This may offend some who don’t believe in God, but I must write the truth. God is awesome and He knows where all to provision you will ever need is located.

So, if you think you can reach your dream, vision, or goal without provision, it will never happen. Seek the Source of all provision and before you know it you will bring your vision to fruition.

Have you ever said, “He makes me so mad?” Have you ever declared, “That depresses me?” Sure, we all have. However, I have come to learn that NO ONE or NOTHING can MAKE me do, say, or feel ANYTHING without my allowance!

I have a declaration to make, “YOU’RE in control!” You can choose how to react in ANY situation and it is your responsibility to do so. You have the ABILITY to RESPOND anyway you CHOOSE. No one has power over you except that which you give. No one can make you mad; you choose to get mad. No one or nothing can depress you unless you give them, or it, the power to depress you.

Isn’t it a wonderful thing that you have power over YOU. You have power over your responses and NO ONE else. Try to be conscious of this fact and your life will begin the change for the better. Don’t let others or even circumstances have power over you. Don’t give your power away. Take charge of your life. Choose to be happy. Choose not to LET others control you. Chose you this day if you will exercise your power or let others take it from you. Remember, it’s your choice!

Ideas to Action

Napoleon Hill said, “What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” I would like to take the time to break this quote down for all to understand.

“What the mind can conceive,” is a most precious statement. It is a fact that our human mind has the ability to conceive an idea. It is through ideas that great things happen. Thomas Edison had an idea about a light bulb. Henry Ford had an idea about mass-producing the automobile. Abraham Lincoln had the idea of abolishing slavery. Our founding fathers had an idea of a constitution that would be the foundation of one of the greatest and most powerful countries on earth. Every success, great or small, came from an idea that was birthed in the mind.

An idea is great, but it is necessary to take the next step, “believe.” Belief is necessary for the idea to be fueled with passion. Belief in an idea makes us passionate and causes us to get excited about the possibilities and even the certainty of the workability of the idea we conceived in our mind. Without belief an idea will die as fast as it was birthed.

Belief comes by holding the conceived thought in our mind constantly. We think about the idea and even see it in our minds eye as already ours. We think about it, we talk about it; we dream about it until a red-hot belief that it is ours overcomes our 5 senses. WOW!

Now comes the challenge…”Achieve.” We have to achieve and achievement comes by taking action! It is not good enough to conceive and idea and just believe it. We have to achieve it through action. As you dwell upon your idea and it comes the predominate thought in your mind, you will be prompted from within with thoughts of actions that you can take to bring that idea into reality. Some of these promptings may seem ridiculous, but do not ignore them for each action will pave the way for more action that will eventually lead to the reality of your conceived idea.

The Bible says that, “Faith without works is dead.” You can have an idea and believe that you will realize that idea. However, without action, nothing will happen. When Jesus healed the man with the withered hand he asked him to take action by stretching forth his hand. The man who had the withered hand had the faith to take the ACTION and thus received the healing. This was true of all such events in the Bible. Faith requires some kind of action.

Most people, especially of the Law of Attraction persuasion, miss this point. You may condition your mind to focus on what you want, but without action, what you want will not come to you. As you focus on what you want, you will receive inward promptings to take certain actions. Again, do not ignore this. Taking action solidifies your belief and causes the things you want to appear in you life. The process is simple:

· Think with your mind

· Ideas will be conceived

· Focus on that idea until you believe that it is already yours

· Take action based on the inner promptings

· Each action will lead to further actions until your idea becomes a reality

The Value of Mistakes

Most people HATE making mistakes. They think they are the “unforgivable sin” when they make them. People “feel” like idiots or just plain terrible when they goof-up. However, I would like to give you the other side of mistakes: They are for our LEARNING! As I have mentioned in past posts, there are ALWAYS two sides to EVERYTHING. This is the “dark” side and the “bright” side.

I recently read an article about a lady who turned bankruptcy into a cottage industry. She was a legal assistant and worked as a paralegal for area attorneys. One day she came up with a way to input debtor’s data into a bankruptcy petition from anywhere in the United States, freeing her from the constant interruptions she endured when she worked in law offices. Here idea birthed a “virtual bankruptcy assistance” that earns her about $250,000 annually. No school or course ever provided the training and thus the service she offered. In the article it said, “Ring credits her business success to her willingness to learn from her mistakes and never shying away from challenges.” She said that, “It takes a person to enjoy making mistakes and figuring out new solutions to run a company.”

The point is this: Most people look at mistakes as something awful and to be avoided at all costs. Ms. Ring saw them as opportunities to learn new lessons and challenged her to think of new solutions. All I can say is WOW! It takes a person with a vision to see this. It takes a person who understands the Law of Duality to see the bright side of a seemingly dark situation.

The next time you make a mistake just ask yourself, “What can I LEARN from this.” or “What GOOD is there is this?” It is so exciting to know that every mistake contains a challenge to learn new lessons. Don’t waste a perfectly good mistake on self-abasement. Cease the opportunity to learn, for that is what mistakes are for! Therefore do not be afraid to make mistakes, rather embrace them! Learn the value of mistakes.

Failure is Necessary for Success

Without failure we could never know success. Without fumbling and falling and getting back up to do it all over again, and again, and again, a baby could never learn to successfully walk. Recently I “talked” to a 1 year old. I didn’t understand a word he said. He was failing as a great communicator! However, one day, after repeated failure he will “learn” to talk successfully. If you understand how the brain works, you will understand that this “failure to success” thing is normal.

When you learned to ride a bike, you wobbled and fell and got back up and tried again until you had a success. The same was true when you learned how to drive a car or literally anything you can now do with ease, automatically, and successfully. Failure is just part of the success process. Actually, very successful people just fail more often and much faster than less successful people do. Therefore, if you want to experience faster success, just fail faster! It is awesome to be able to look at failure as part of success. It’s the dark side of success. Dark is necessary for there to be light just as failure is necessary for there to be success.

Look at Thomas Edison. He “failed” over 10,000 times to create a workable filament for the incandescent light bulb. Without those failures, there would not have been a success in his endeavor. However, once he succeeded, just one time, he could mass produce that success and by doing so, he became rich.

Did you learn how to use the computer the first time someone showed you? Probably not! You had to be shown again and again and then you had to learn some things through trial and error. That’s just the way the brain works!

The same will happen to you in your network marketing business. No matter what others tell you, you will have to learn some things on your own through failure. You have to fail and succeed “your way.” You could be taught how to ride a bike, but you still had to fail in order to ride that bike. You could be taught how to drive a car, but you still had to experience some level of failure before you could successfully drive. You can be taught how to build a successful network marketing business, but you still need to experience failure before you can reap the reward to success. It’s awesome that we have mentors and teachers in this business, but they cannot succeed for you. Eventually you have to do it yourself. Their successes, however, will lessen the severity of your failures, for you can learn many things from them.

The reason that others cannot succeed “for you” is because you are you and they are they. You are unique and have to experience success in your unique way based on your unique gifts and talents. As a result, you have to experience some unique failures in order to accomplish unique successes. Learning from others is great, but you still have to practice and in that practice you will fail. Do not worry, however, for all failure will lead to success if your are determined to succeed and not give up.

Success and failure, in my opinion, are the same. They are just two sides of one thing. The only people who do not fail are those who do nothing. And those who do nothing will never experience great success. So, if you don’t like failure, sit back and do nothing. Oh, by-the-way, you will never accomplish anything great either! If you are tired of failing, quit! Quitting, however, is the worse thing that a human being can do. Quitting is a tragedy and many have quit just one or two failures from reaching the success they were seeking. Don’t let that be you!

How to Choose a Good Network Marketing Opportunity

Many people join businesses online with little understanding of what they are joining. Some are excellent opportunities that will build lasting residual income for many years to come. Others are just jobs that look like true network marketing opportunities, but are not. Then there are the affiliate programs that can be very lucrative, but require lots of up-front money and know-how to make them work successfully.

Personally, I don’t want to work forever. I want to build a business that will produce residual income even when I decide to retire or take an extended vacation. I want a business that I can operate from anywhere in the world with a laptop and mobile phone. I want a business that I can do just a few hours a day and then spend time doing other things important to me. I don’t want a boss. I have had it with others telling me what to, when to do it, and how to do it.

I will not address affiliate marketing in this post. Rather, I would like to discuss true network marketing opportunities that are built through people. Network marketing is a people helping people business. It is rewarding on many levels. You can become financially independent while helping others to do the same. If you mean business about YOUR business, you will grow personally in the process.

So what should you look for in a network marketing opportunity? Here is a list of things I think are important:

Reputation—The company, and it’s leaders, have to be reputable. They should have a history as network marketers themselves. They should not have skeleton’s in their closets as so many company leaders have these days. It’s easy to find out, just Google their name and put the word “scam” after it. Don’t stop at the first few pages. You will have to dig a little. However it is worth it, especially since you are putting your money and reputation on the line.

Timing—How long has the company been in existence? Is it a start-up or prelaunch? Does it have a track record? It is a fleeting fad? So many people get an idea and automatically think it is a network marketing opportunity. They start out with little understanding of the industry and are out-of-business in two years or less taking unsuspecting, hardworking people with them. Don’t join the “new thing.” It’s not worth it. Give it a couple of years before you jump in because most of these “start-up” fail within that time.

Pricing of Products—Are the products more expensive than the average “Joe” can get at GNC or any local establishment with similar products? If you have to join the company to get discounts, don’t do it. You can’t build a big business counting on affiliates alone. You need customers and customers won’t purchase products that are over-priced. Would you buy a 30-day vitamin pack for $75.00? I know I would not. Would you purchase them for under $40.00? That is more reasonable, don’t you think?

Products that People Want—The products you promote should be what the masses are already using. I am in a nutritional company. There is a demand for our products. For example: How many people do you know that have a weight problem? How many people do you know that drinks energy drinks? How many people do you know that are diabetic? Just from these three categories I bet you know plenty of people in such a situation. Shoot, energy drinks alone are a $10 Billion industry! So, look for a company that promotes products that are already used by the masses and you will be far ahead of the curve.

Streamline Business Model—Is the company heavily invested in buildings, call centers, corporate jets and the like? If so, run baby run! Guess who is paying for all that stuff? If you say the “company,” you are sadly mistaken. It is the affiliates that bear the burden of those cost through less compensation for the hard work that they perform. The company’s main responsibility is to provide product and ship product. If they can do that with the least overhead possible, that is money in YOUR pocket.

Don’t be awed by all the “assets” of a company. Don’t be awed by celebrity endorsements (Guess who is paying for those endorsements?). They are costing YOU, not the company. Look for a company that puts the affiliate first, for they understand that that is the way to build a huge business.

Also, don’t fall for a company that is publically traded. Guess who gets preferential treatment? It is the stock holders. Stockholders are taking money out of your pocket. They call the shots and don’t even understand the business. They only understand money.

Compensation Plan—There are a ton of them out there. Look for a plan that allows you unlimited width and depth. Stair-Steep break-away plans, matrixes, and binaries are not the best. They all have limitations and appeal to specific personality types. Most of these plans drive me nuts! I like my plan, its’ simple. All you have to do is figure out how much you want to make and you will know how many affiliates or customers that you will need to make that kind of money. With my company, if I want to make $10,000 a month in residual income, I will need to have 500 (or less) people in my organization (customers or affiliates). Some people have done this with as little as 300 users in their organization!

A Duplicatable System with Team Support—If you have to go it alone, you will fail. You need a system that you can plug into to help insure your success. You also need a system that you can plug others into to accomplish the same. It has to be simple. So many tell you they will be there for you, but they are so busy helping others they couldn’t help you if they wanted to. If there is a system in place, that system will do all the training one would ever need to succeed. What a relief!

Again, this is if you are looking for a network marketing company with residual income that will be there when you stop doing the business. Other opportunities are available, but they are just jobs, trading time for money. That is if they don’t produce the residual income.

Affiliate programs are great as well, but they need larger amounts of capital for advertising and knowledge on how to advertise effectively. For example, don’t attempt using an Ad-word campaign without proper training. You could go broke in a hurry! To me, it is worth getting into a pay-program to learn how to do affiliate marketing effectively, if that is the way you want to go.

Putting First Things First

History is a great teacher. Not just our personal history, but what can be reaped from the historical experience of others.

I recently saw a wonderful program about the founding of our great country: The United State of America. I have also been to Washington D.C. and visited all the main monuments and memorials there. I was awestruck at the realization that our founding fathers possessed.

Our founding fathers had a strong belief in God and realized that all blessings come from Him. They realized that for our nation to succeed, God had to have a preeminent place in this country’s leadership and among its citizens. As a result, God has richly blessed this country, but I believe that is changing.

Here are some examples of what our founding fathers wrote:

“ God governs in the affairs of man. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that built it. I firmly believe this. I also believe that, without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel”
~Thomas Jefferson

“It cannot be emphasized too clearly and too often that this nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religion, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. These are a VERY few examples that show the mind and heart of our founding fathers.

The reason I am writing this on my MLM Success Coaching Blog is I believe that in order to succeed in ANY area of life, you cannot deny the Source, the Creator God. I believe that all success and failure rides on how we relate to, and treat the Almighty. I also believe that this nation is suffering what it is today because it has, in general, forsaken God and His Word. Our businesses will ultimately fail if we act as our political leaders are acting—in defiance of the living God. Thinking that THEY have the power and take NO blame for what is happening with our country today.

I have a friend who has a very successful business. One day I asked him what was the secret of His success. His answer was simple: “I pray a lot!” He said nothing more after that. There was no other secret. He did tell me that as he succeeded in the past, he somewhat didn’t honor God and ended up losing over a million dollars in a failed deal. After that, he learned the lesson to NEVER leave God out of his decisions. That is why he now “prays a lot.” He now runs a debt-free company that is diversifying and growing.

This is a New Year. My advice is (if you haven’t already) to put God in the equation. Make Him part of all your decisions. Who knows better than the All-knowing God? Who has been more successful than He? Give this year to Him. Give your business to Him. Believe me, He is qualified to help you, and He will.

Learn from the success of our founding fathers. Learn from the failures of today’s politicians. Our country is suffering from a failure to honor God. We have taken Him out of our schools and wonder why murder and suicide among young people is at an all-time high. We have mocked Him and disregarded Him in our government and wonder why this country is such a mess morally, and financially. Diseases, mental illness, catastrophic weather conditions, crime and such all indicate a disregard for our Creator. Why would he bless a people that mocks Him and has no time for Him? We call Him The Universe, Nature, Infinite Intelligence, Higher Power, Higher Self, and everything other that what He truly is. He is God and there is NONE beside Him. People call Him all these things as not to “offend” others. What a joke! I would rather offend others then offend God.

I have decided to put Him first. I want to give Him my business and ask for His guidance in every aspect of my life. Our founding fathers got it right. Many truly successful people have it right. Put God first and you will be guided rightly.

I am not a religious fanatic. I am a person who has tried many things and failed. I have observed what is going on in the world today and don’t like what I see. I have known the Lord for many years, but even I have forsaken Him in many ways. For this I am sorry. I am giving this year to Him. I will let you know how it turns out.

I have received a lot of help from many success coaches. I have studied the Law of Attraction and believe in it just as I do the Law of Gravity. I also know who created these laws. It’s good to know the Laws of success, including the Law of Attraction. However, it is better to know the Creator of all laws! We enjoy these Laws in light of Him who created them.

Let’s all start the New Year out right. Let God take his rightful place and just watch what will happen.

Goal Setting & the Subconscious Mind

Your mind is an interesting thing. It has two parts, a conscious and a subconscious part. The conscious section is the part that is aware of what is going on in your environment and is very limited. You conscious mind can only focus on a very few things at once. More realistically, it can effectively only focus on one thing at a time.

Your subconscious mind is the mastermind that controls everything about you without your “awareness.” Your subconscious mind “rules the roost.” The subconscious mind keeps your heart beating, lungs breathing, as well as all other bodily functions without your consciousness.

Your conscious mind acts as a gatekeeper to the subconscious. However, your subconscious will respond according to what has been consistently programmed into it by the allowance of the “gatekeeper.” An example would be: “Money is the root of all evil.” If you have heard that over and over again and your conscious mind handed that thought over to the subconscious mind enough, the subconscious mind will respond by doing everything it can to keep you from being rich; from having money, for your BELIEF is that money is evil. It does this because it has been programmed to believe that money is evil and it knows that you don’t want evil in your life.

Let’s say this aforementioned thought about money was put into you in as a child. You heard your parents say that rich people are crooks and that money is evil. You heard them talk about the filthy rich and things of this nature. These thoughts being quietly programmed in our subconscious mind in your early years will raise their ugly heads when you grow older and want to obtain wealth. When you try to obtain wealth, your subconscious mind will make sure you NEVER achieve it because of all the negative beliefs that are buried deep in your subconscious about money, wealth, or riches. Therefore, I don’t care how much you desire to be rich; you will NEVER be rich until you train your subconscious mind with a new belief that money is good.

First you have to discover what limiting beliefs are holding you back from what you desire and then dispel them with new and MORE POWERFUL beliefs. There are many effective ways to “trick” your subconscious mind to believe something new.

Let’s say you are in a network marketing company and you want to be a Diamond. You want to be a Diamond because Diamonds make $5,000 a month in residual income. However, somewhere deep in you subconscious mind you have a belief that YOU can never be Diamond. You may think that you are not smart enough, young enough, talented enough, or some other limiting belief that was programmed into your subconscious mind over the years. Because of this type of programming (that probably came from self-talk, your parents or siblings, etc.) you don’t feel you can succeed in becoming Diamond.

Well, let’s play a trick on the “Old Sub.” Take a piece of paper and write this phrase at the top: “25 Things I Am Going to Do AFTER I Become a Diamond.” Once you have written that statement, start listing the 25 things you would do after you became Diamond. Here are some examples:

· Buy a new car

· Replace the deck

· Replace the garage door

· Take a 2 week vacation to the Smokies

· Give $1,000 to the needy

· Take the family to a special place for dinner

· Buy a new computer

· Get a new wardrobe

· Cut back on my hours at work

· Spend more time with the family

· Volunteer

· Serve on a worthwhile committee

· Get a new Blackberry Storm

· Learn a new computer program

· Take some courses to improve my network marketing business

· Get my wife a diamond ring

· Pay off my daughters car

· Get my grandkids a new computer

· Sent my granddaughter to volleyball classes

· Learn to play a guitar

· Buy 20 new self-improvement books

· Go on a cruise

· Support a needy family for a month

· Buy wood-crafting tools and form a new hobby

· Pay off my credit cards

The list can be anything you really desire. When you do this you begin to feel that those things are possible. You get excited and full of feeling. If you review this list over and over, several times a day, over a period of time, you will find yourself being propelled to that Diamond position you thought was impossible.

The key is to reprogram the subconscious mind until it believes and receives this new programming. This process speeds up when emotion (feeling) is added to the equation. As you write YOUR 25 things, pay attention to how you FEEL. If you FEEL good, your vibration is high and that is the best state with which to reprogram your subconscious.

Another key is to stay the course. Focus on those 25 things you want to do AFTER you become DIAMOND. Don’t focus on becoming Diamond. Rather focus what the things you want or want to do. I can assure you that becoming Diamond will be a lot easier than you think. You just have to get your subconscious mind to work FOR you and not AGAINST you. Once you do that, the rest just happens.

Go ahead, get that piece of paper and practice what is written here. You will be delighted at the outcome. Do it! Be patient! You are about to go Diamond!

Effective Goal Setting with a Twist

Goals are the talk of Network Marketing. People set goals and forget about them. Most people don’t even right them down!

Here is a simple 3-step plan for effective goal-setting:

1. Write down your goal

2. Choose a penalty for NOT reaching your goal

3. Advertise the penalty to those around you

You have heard step one many times before and it is fairly easy to do. You may have even done step one to no avail. However, step two is different and will help you achieve step one. Most of us have been taught to REWARD accomplishments, but people will do more to escape pain than they will to gain pleasure. So instead of rewarding yourself for reaching you goal, you need to PENALIZE yourself your NOT reaching your goal!

Let’s say you have a goal to present your business opportunity to 5 people this week. You write down that goal, which is easy to do. Now consider a penalty for NOT reaching that goal. An example might be to eat a cockroach! That’s pretty nasty, don’t reach your goal, you better be prepared to eat that cockroach!

Now that you have written a goal, and picked a penalty, it’s now time to advertise. Let others know your goal and what will happen if you DO NOT achieve it. By doing this, you will get reminded and even challenged to reach your goal by those you have told. Even more, you will solidify the effectiveness of the whole process. If you don’t reach your goal and then don’t penalize yourself, you friends or family will add to the pain by making fun of you. You wouldn’t want that to happen would you?

This may be an unconventional way to set goals, but I guarantee you that it is effective! Have fun!
